Hannah THOMAS was born between 1852 and 1854 at Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire.^3,4,2,5 She was the daughter of David THOMAS and Margaret THOMAS née ?^1,2 In the census of 7 April 1861 at Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, she was listed as "Annah", aged 7 born in Carmarthen, the daughter of David THOMAS.^6,7 In the census of 2 April 1871 at Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, she was listed as aged 17 born in Carmarthen, the daughter of David THOMAS.⁴ Hannah married Cornelius REES, son of David REES and Mary RICHARDS, on 23 December 1880 at Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire. She was a Spinster aged 26, residing at 43 Saint Catherine Street, Carmarthen. Her father was listed as David THOMAS, a Carpenter. Witnessed by Thomas MORRIS and John PALMER.¹ In the census of 5 April 1881 at Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, she was listed as aged 28 born in Carmarthen, the wife of Cornelius REES; a Labourer, living with his wife Hannah.² As of 1882, Hannah THOMAS and Cornelius REES lived at Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire.⁸ Hannah THOMAS was the informant of the birth of David John REES on 29 May 1882 at Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire.^5,8,9 Hannah THOMAS was the informant of the birth of William Henry REES on 7 February 1884 at Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire.^5,10,11 In the census of 5 April 1891 at Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, she was listed as 40 years old, the wife of Cornelius REES; a General Labourer, living in one room with his wife Hannah, and children Dd. John., Wm Hy., Margt., and Sarah. Cornelius and his children were recorded as speaking both Welsh and English, however his wife Hannah spoke only Welsh.⁵ In the census of 31 March 1901 at Ferndale, Glamorganshire, she was listed as aged 48 born in Carmarthen, the wife of Cornelius REES; an underground Colliery labourer, living with his wife Hannah, and children Henry, Sarah, and "Maggie". The family all spoke Welsh and English.¹²

Bessie died on 7 March 1959 in Fresno, Fresno County, California, U.S.A, at the age of 37.^1,3,4,2 Her obitutary from the Fresno Bee read: Mrs Bessie JACKSON - Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Mrs. Bessie Ethel JACKSON, 37, who died yesterday in her home at 1666 West Roberts after a year's illness. The services will start at 10:30 am in the Tinkler Mission Chapel with the Rev. George Turney of the St Columbia's Episcopal Church officiating. Cremation will follow. Mrs Jackson was a native of Fresno. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, attending Fresno State College and worked for the telephone company before her marriage. The survivors are her husband, Kenneth; two daughters Patricia Ann and Mary Louise; her father, Walter J URIDGE of Sanger and a brother Robert G. URIDGE of Fresno.¹

     
Gladys married Walter James URIDGE, son of Walter George URIDGE and Ethel MOTT, in 1921.^2,3 Gladys died in 1931 She had not been feeling well for some time, so decided to get her hair done to see if that would perk her up. Later that afternoon, her husband was summoned to go and pick his wife up at a particular address. The address was the city morgue. It was determined that the cause of death was kidney failure. She had been a Christian Scientist and unfortunately did not see medical doctors too often..^2,3
