Mary Ann URIDGE was born in 1846 in Sydenham, Kent.^1,5,6 She was the daughter of George Frederick URIDGE and Ann Rebecca HARPER.² Mary Ann URIDGE was baptized on 23 May 1847 at St. Bartholomews, Sydenham, Kent.^7,2,5 As of 23 May 1847, Mary Ann was also known as Mary Ann UREDGE.⁸ Mary appeared in the census of 7 April 1861 at Russell Street, Sydenham, Kent.⁶ In the census of 7 April 1861 at Russell Street, Sydenham, Kent, she was listed as aged 15 born in Sydenham, the daughter of George URIDGE.^5,3 Mary Ann URIDGE emigrated on 10 October 1863 to Sydney, Australia; N.S.W. Immigrants Register gives "Mary Ann Uridge, aged 18 years. Departure 18 March 1863 on the ship 'Severn'; Name of Depositor - James Longley. In the ' Relations Index' gives Caroline Longley of Bathurst, N.S.W. as an aunt to Mary Ann."^9,5,10 She married Henry CHAPPELL, son of Frances NICHOLLS, on 23 August 1866 at New South Wales, Australia.^5,11,12,13 Her uncle William URIDGE (1815-1890) did not mention her in his will, although most of William's known living nephew and neices were, including those who had emigrated. Perhaps there had been an upset as a result of the Mary being pregnant out of wedlock. Shortly after the birth, and subsequent death Mary emigrated to Australia.^14,15
In a document dated c1905, she is referred to as "Mary Ann Uridge married Henry Chappell in New South Wales and has left five children who are now alive but she is not mentioned in Will & therefor does not take any share of the estate (see letter from Well Legh dated 7th Dec 1905).¹⁶"

     
Clara Rebecca URIDGE was born in 1846 in Lindfield, Sussex.^1,4,3 She was the daughter of Henry URIDGE and Sally EARL.^2,3 Clara Rebecca URIDGE was baptized on 29 November 1846 at East Chiltington, Sussex.⁵ In the census of 30 March 1851 at Lindfield, Sussex, she was listed as the daughter of Henry URIDGE; He was a widower aged 33, a grocer and draper, living with his daughter and sister.² In the census of 3 April 1881 at 13 High Street, Lewes St. John, Southover, Sussex, she was listed as the nieice of George URIDGE; a Miller employing one man, living with his wife, two sons and a daughter.^4,2 Clara died in 1905 at Eastbourne, Sussex.^6,3

Frederick James URIDGE was born in 1847 in Sydenham, Kent.^1,6,7,8 He was baptized at the same time as brother Edward George D at St. Bartholomews, Sydenham, Kent.^9,10,7 In the census of 7 April 1861 at Russell Street, Sydenham, Kent, he was listed as aged 14 born in Sydenham, a Bricklayers Boy the son of George URIDGE.^7,3 In the census of 2 April 1871 at 4 Ebne Street, Sydenham, Kent, he was listed as a Labourer, the son of George Frederick URIDGE.^6,7 Frederick married Harriett BRUNSDON, daughter of Charles BRUNSDEN and Eliza RATHELL, on 7 January 1872 in the Greenwich registration district.^11,7,12,13 Frederick James URIDGE and Harriett BRUNSDEN emigrated on 5 March 1874 to Brisbane, Australia; They travelled on the ship "Ramsey" together with their son William and sister Emma URIDGE. The ship departed London March 5,1874 and arrived in Brisbane June 9, 1874. Their son William died on the voyage.¹⁴ Frederick James URIDGE was named as a beneficiary in William URIDGE's will made on 20 June 1888.¹⁵ Frederick was a Bricklayer in 1891.¹⁶ He died on 30 March 1891 at Brisbane, Australia, The cause of death was general appearance of interior of stomach and irritated condition of mucous membrane point to some poison unknown. Magisterial inquiry was held at Brisbane on 7th & 14th April 1891.^17,14,7
In a document dated c1905, he is referred to as "Frederick Uridge full name Frederick James Uridge went to Australia Married 7th January 1872 and had several children who died left one son surviving viz John Uridge Eildon Road Windsor Queensland born 4 April 1880 Brisbane Queensland.¹²"

In the census of 30 March 1851 at Perry's Farm, St. James, Isle of Grain, Kent, he was listed as aged 3 born in (St. James) Grain, the son of Phillip URIDGE.⁵ Elizabeth URIDGE emigrated with her parents Philip and Sarah URIDGE née BARTON on 26 May 1851 to New York, New York, USA. John Thomas URIDGE was born in April 1836 in Horne, Surrey.^4,5 He was the son of John Allander URIDGE and Jane WORSEL.^2,3 Jane WORSEL's estate was probated to John Thomas URIDGE on 28 January 1870 at Lewes, Sussex.² At the time of his marriage John was a Carpenter living in Copthorne, Worth, Sussex.³ John married Mary Ann WORSELL, daughter of James WORSELL, on 3 May 1882 at The Register Office, East Grinstead, Sussex.^6,3 In the census of 31 March 1901 at 4 Chapel Lane, Worth, Sussex, John was listed as the Head of Household.⁵ John died on 28 May 1906 at East Grinstead, Sussex, at the age of 70.^7,8 He left a will on 9 July 1906 at "The Cottage of Content", Copthorne, Worth, Sussex; copy held; URIDGE John Thomas of "The Cottage of Content" Copthorne Worth Sussex Died 28 May 1906 Probate London 9 July to Mary Ann URIDGE spinster & Thomas WORSELL farmer Effects £ 77.⁷ His estate was probated on 9 July 1906 at London, London.⁷

Sarah Jane URIDGE was born in 1849 in Lewes, Sussex.^1,3 She was the daughter of George URIDGE and Sarah Gilbert GARDNER.² In the census of 30 March 1851 at 87 High Street, Lewes St. John, Southover, Sussex, she was listed as the daughter of George URIDGE; a Miller, master employing 1 man living with his wife, son and daughter.³ Sarah appeared in the census of April 1871 at 3 High Street, Southover, Sussex.⁴ Sarah married Gilbert Amos JENNER, son of John JENNER and Sophia SMITH, on 8 May 1871 at Southover, Lewes, Sussex. In the presence of Lewis WHITEMAN & Fanny URIDGE.^5,6 Sarah died before 1881.⁷

SKINNER on 1 December 1872 at St. Peter & St. Paul, Bromley, Kent. Henry URIDGE was born in 1850 in Lewes, Sussex.^4,2 She was the daughter of George URIDGE and Sarah Gilbert GARDNER.^2,3 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 87 High Street, Lewes St. John, Southover, Sussex, he was listed as the son of George URIDGE; a Miller, master employing 1 man living with his wife, son and daughter.² Henry appeared in the census of 2 April 1871 at 3 High Street, Southover, Sussex, a Miller.⁵ Henry married Adeline LIPSCOMB, daughter of Joseph Andrew LIPSCOMB, on 15 October 1873 at St. Michael, Lewes, Sussex.^6,7,8 Henry was a Milkman in 1874 at Southover, Lewes, Sussex.⁹ Her husband, Adeline, died on 23 December 1882 at Lewes, Sussex.^10,11 Henry was a Dairyman on 5 April 1891.¹² In the census of 5 April 1891 at 13 High Street, Southover, Sussex, he was listed as a Dairyman, the widowed son of George URIDGE.¹³ Henry URIDGE and his cousin William Gibbins URIDGE immigrated together on the "SS New York", sailing from Southampton on 11 March to New York, New York, USA, arriving on 18 March 1893. The ships manifest dated 18 March, shows that Henry was a Dairyman, aged 42 married, from Lewes, England.^14,15,16,17 Henry died on 28 April 1911 at Fowler, California, USA, M; Monumental Inscription: Adeline, the beloved wife of Henry URIDGE who died December 23 1882 aged 35 years, also of their children George Harry died December 11 1875 aged 16 months. Frank died December 25 1881, aged 3 years 7 months. John Gardner died March 10th 1882 aged 12 months, also of the above named Henry URIDGE who died at Fowler, California 28.4.1911 aged 60 years.^18,11 Henry was buried in 1911 at Fowler, California, USA.^18,19

      William Champion was also known as William C. URIDGE.³
William Champion URIDGE was born in 1855 in Lewes, Sussex.¹ She was the daughter of George URIDGE and Sarah Gilbert GARDNER.² William Champion URIDGE was baptized on 13 July 1856 at East Chiltington, Sussex.⁴ William appeared in the census of 2 April 1871 at 3 High Street, Southover, Sussex, a Miller.⁵ In the census of 3 April 1881 at 13 High Street, Lewes St. John, Southover, Sussex, he was listed as deaf, and the son of George URIDGE; a Miller employing one man, living with his wife, two sons and a daughter.^6,7 William married Rosetta H. HILLS in 1881 at Blean, Kent.⁸ In the census of 5 April 1891 at 39 Grecian Street, Maidstone, Kent, William was listed as the Head of Household; a Miller, living with his wife, two sons, daughter and a neice Maud L. MILLER.³ William died in 1938 at Sheppey, Kent.⁹

Eliza Chandler URIDGE was born on 11 May 1851 in East Chiltington, Sussex.^4,2,5 She was the daughter of Joseph CHANDLER and Jane URIDGE.² Eliza Chandler URIDGE was baptized on 21 December 1851 at All Saints, Lewes, Sussex.² Eliza appeared in the census of 7 April 1861 at Lindfield, Sussex.⁵ Eliza appeared in the census of 3 April 1881 at Lindfield, Sussex, She ran the Post Office in Lindfield together with her father Joseph.² Eliza married Arthur Richard KIMBER on 16 April 1883 at Hove, Sussex.^1,2 In the census of 5 April 1891 at Italian Villa, Lindfield, Sussex, she was listed as the wife of Arthur Richard KIMBER; a Postman, living with his wife and young daughter. They also had a boarder, Alice BLADES, an Elementary School Teacher.³ In the census of 31 March 1901 at the Post Office, High Street, Lindfield, Sussex, she was listed as married, the daughter of Joseph CHANDLER. Her husband was not listed on the census.^6,7
