Ellen FUNNELL was born on 23 May 1873 in Eastbourne, Sussex.5,2,6 She was the daughter of William Robinson FUNNELL and Harriet Eliza GILBERT.2,3,4 In the census of 3 April 1881 at Ocklynge Road Capitol Stores, Eastbourne, Sussex, she was listed as aged 7, born Eastbourne, Sussex the daughter of William Robinson FUNNELL; a Grocer and draper employed 3 men and 1 boy, aged 38, living with his wife, 4 sons and 2 daughters.7,2 Ellen married Ebenezer URIDGE, daughter of William URIDGE and Mary MITCHELL, in 1895 at Eastbourne, Sussex.8 In the census of 31 March 1901 at 3 Arundel Terrace, Eastbourne, Sussex, she was listed as the wife of Ebenezer URIDGE; a Grocer.6 Her husband, Ebenezer, died on 22 April 1935 at Eastbourne, Sussex.9,10 Ellen FUNNELL made a will on 30 May 1951 at 26 Mill Road, Eastbourne, Sussex.11 Ellen died on 12 August 1958 at Berrow Nursing Home, 17 Carew Road, Eastbourne, Sussex, at the age of 85.5,10,2 Her estate was probated on 15 October 1958 at Lewes, Sussex.10 Related to Wendy RUSSELL nee FUNNELL (Source 107).      Sydney Charles FRANCIS was born to William George FRANCIS and Louisa CHEW on 19 October 1911 at Willesden, London.2 Sydney married Brenda I. URIDGE, daughter of Charles Edgar URIDGE and Rosina Caroline GOODCHILD, on 26 December 1938.1,2 Sydney died on 21 July 1998 at Barnet, Hertfordshire, at the age of 86.2
