Uridge, a Book Folder, the wife of Charles Clifford URIDGE; a Printers Labourer.2 Sarah and Charles lived at 62 Great Bland Street, Newington, London.1 Sarah married Charles Clifford URIDGE, son of William Burker URIDGE and Sarah RANCE, on 26 December 1890 at St. Saviour, London, a Printer. The marriage was witnessed by John Thomas Payne, and Richard Winter. He was a widower, and she was a spinster, both aged 36.3,1

Ada Louisa PAGE was born in 1869 in Edburton, Sussex.4,3 She was the daughter of Richard PAGE and Elizabeth PAGE.2,3 Ada married William Henry URIDGE, son of William URIDGE and Emma Eliza TOWNSEND, on 19 March 1891 at Edburton, Sussex. in the presence of Walter PAGE, Herbert MADYWICK and Charles Lewis WHITEMAN.5,6 In the census of 31 March 1901 at Aberton Farm, Edburton, Sussex, she was listed as the daughter of Elizabeth PAGE. Living with her mother, brother, husband and their two children; a Farmer.3 Ada died on 30 April 1952 at Lewes, Sussex.4,7,8 She was buried in May 1952 at St. Andrews, Edburton, Sussex, M; Monumental Inscription: In loving memory of a dear wife and mother Ada Louisa URIDGE who passed away 30 April 1952 aged 83 years. Also of her husband William URIDGE died 30 September 1953 aged 83 years.8

In the census of 3 April 1881 at 33 Devonport Road, Hammersmith, London, he was listed as an Underwriter Clerk, the son of Francis SYMONDSON.2,5 In the census of 5 April 1891 at 1 Westover Road, London, London, he was listed as a Ship's Broker, the son of Francis SYMONDSON.6
Stanley married Jessie Kate URIDGE, daughter of James URIDGE and Adele Victorine GIBBINS, in 1892 at Lewes, Sussex; they were cousins - their mothers were sisters.7 Stanley and Jessie appeared in the census of 31 March 1901 at "Glyndo", Christchurch Park, Sutton, Surrey, a Shipowner, living with his wife and mother-in-law, and four servants.4

Margaret Laidlaw BLACKHALL was born on 16 October 1877 in Berwickshire, Scotland.3,4 She was the daughter of David BLACKHALL and Elizabeth PERCY.2
Margaret married by license Ernest Albert URIDGE, son of William John URIDGE and Caroline Janette POYNTER, on 22 August 1898 at The Register Office, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland. The marriage was witnessed by Robert BAKER and Isabella PATRICK. She was a spinster aged 20 years, residing at 43 Darnel Street Newcastle. Her father was isted as David Blackhall, a Journeyman Blacksmith.1,5,6,3,4 Ernest worked in an ammunition factory and Margaret ran a small corner shop. They lived above the shop at 5 Delaval Road, Benwell, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland (photo held).
In the early 1900's, Ernest inherited some property in New Zealand but Margaret didn't want to go there. They met a Mormon who said "Come to Carson, Alberta, Canada there is lots of work, land etc". They entered into the Mormon Church and emigrated to Canada in 1920. They travelled second class with lots of money behind them for a new start. They arrived in Montreal, Quebec. Margaret had a miscarriage and had to be hospitalized. They made it as far as Lethbridge, Alberta and could not find the gentleman they had spoken to. So this is where they settled until 1938 when some of the family decided to travel to Vancouver in search of more work.7 Margaret Laidlaw BLACKHALL was baptized in the LDS church on 6 October 1907.8 She was the informant of the birth of Ernest URIDGE on 29 March 1908 at 14 St. Margarets Road, Hanwell, Middlesex.9,10,3,2,11 Margaret was in a photograph taken an unknown date.12 She witnessed the marriage of Lona ELASCHUK and Albert William David URIDGE on 28 August 1927.10,13 Margaret Laidlaw URIDGE died on 15 March 1966 at Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, at age 88.2,14,3,4

Charles URIDGE was born in 1872 in Cuckfield, Sussex.1,2 He was the son of William URIDGE and Mary MITCHELL.1,2 In the census of 3 April 1881 at Lowfield Farm, Cuckfield, Sussex, he was listed as the son of William URIDGE; a farmer of 267 acres, employed 8 labourers and 2 boys, living with his wife, four sons and three daughters.3 Charles travelled on the ship Arizona on 14 August 1893 from Liverpool, England to New York, New York, USA.4,5 Charles married Ruth PRATT in 1900 in the Steyning registration district.6,7 In the census of 31 March 1901 at 6 New Town Road, Hove, Sussex, Charles was listed as the Head of Household; a Grocers Assistant, living with his wife.8
Charles made a will dated 4 December 1915 at 40 Godstone Road, Hove, Sussex, Witnessed by Jessica BURNS & Arthur W. BALL.9,10 Charles died on 9 August 1945 at Hove, Sussex.11,9 The 1945 Will index shows: "URIDGE Charles of 3 Coleridge Street Hove Sussex Died 9 August, 1945 Probate Llandudno 4 October to Ruth URIDGE widow.9"

Annie COOK was born in 1875 in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.2 Annie married Charles URIDGE, son of Joshua URIDGE and Frances LANGRISH, in 1898 at Bromley, Kent.3,4,1 In the census of 31 March 1901 at 10 Havelock Road, Bromley, Kent, she was listed as a Laundress aged 26 born in Kings Lynn Norfolk, the wife of Charles URIDGE; (a Horse Driver at the Brickworks, living with his wife Annie, and two daughters Rose E., and Ellen E).2 Annie URIDGE formerly Cook, was the informant on the birth certificate of her son, Alfred Charles URIDGE, who was born on 24 April 1902 at 10 Havelock Road, Bromley, Kent.5,1
