Ann URIDGE was born in 1814.⁴ Ann was baptized with twin sister Mary on 3 October 1814 at Chailey, Sussex, (an unknown value).^2,5,6 She was the daughter of Henry URIDGE and Elizabeth SMYTH.^2,3 Ann married Henry GUY, son of Henry GUY, on 27 May 1840 at East Chiltington, Sussex.^7,8,3 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Hamsey, Sussex, she was listed as a dressmaker, the wife of Henry GUY; a Miller/Journeyman, living with his wife and two children.^4,9 Ann URIDGE appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at Southover, Sussex,, visiting her brother George URIDGE.¹⁰ In the census of 3 April 1881 at Chailey, Sussex, he was listed as the son of Adele Victorine URIDGE; a Coke Dealers wife, living with her five sons and a daughter. Her husband, James URIDGE, is not listed in the 1881 census. In the presence of Thomas ODEN & Eliza URIDGE.^4,5 Alfred was a Bricklayer in 1845 at Chailey, Sussex.⁶ In the census of 30 March 1851 at East Chiltington, Sussex, Alfred was listed as the Head of Household; a Bricklayer & Journeyman.^3,7

     
Sarah Gilbert GARDNER was born in 1817 in East Grinstead, Sussex.^2,3 Sarah married George URIDGE, daughter of Henry URIDGE and Elizabeth SMYTH, in 1848 at Bermondsey, London.^1,3 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Southover, Sussex, she was listed as the wife of George URIDGE; a Miller, master employing 1 man living with his wife, son and daughter.³ Sarah appeared in the census of 2 April 1871 at Southover, Sussex.⁴ In the census of 3 April 1881 at Southover, Sussex, she was listed as the wife of George URIDGE; a Miller employing one man, living with his wife, two sons and a daughter.^5,6 Sarah appeared in the census of 3 April 1881 at Southover, Sussex.² In the census of 5 April 1891 at Southover, Sussex, she was listed as the wife of George URIDGE; a Miller, living with his wife, son, daughter and two grandsons.⁷ Sarah died in 1895 at Lewes, Sussex.⁸

     
Jane GIBBINS was born in 1821 in St. Andrews???, Middlesex.^2,3,4 Jane married William URIDGE, son of Henry URIDGE and Elizabeth SMYTH, in June 1848 in the Droxford registration district.⁵ In the census of 30 March 1851 at Barcombe, Sussex, she was listed as the wife of William URIDGE; He was a farmer of 220 acres employing 8 men, living with his wife, mother, brothers and sister.^6,7 Jane appeared in the census of 7 April 1861 at Barcombe, Sussex.³ Jane died on 13 August 1863 at Barcombe, Sussex.^8,9,10,11 Jane was buried in August 1863 at Chailey, Sussex; In affectionate rememberance of Jane the belowed wife of William URIDGE of Balneath Farm who departed this life August 13 1863 aged 42.^12,13

Research Note: Jane GIBBINS is probably the sister of Henry James GIBBINS, born in Hampshire in 1821. This might explain how Henry's daughter Adèle met James Uridge.¹⁴

Joseph CHANDLER was born on 26 October 1828 in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex.^4,3 He was the son of Joseph CHANDLER and Mary MOORE.³ Joseph appeared in the census of 30 March 1851 at Lindfield, Sussex, He was a Shopman/Assistant living with Henry Uridge.¹ Joseph married Jane URIDGE, daughter of Henry URIDGE and Elizabeth SMYTH, on 14 December 1851 at Lewes, Sussex.^5,1 Joseph appeared in the census of 7 April 1861 at Lindfield, Sussex.⁴ Joseph appeared in the census of 3 April 1881 at Lindfield, Sussex, He ran the Post Office in Lindfield together with his daughter Eliza.¹ Joseph was listed as aged 74 the Head of Household in the census of 31 March 1901 at Lindfield, Sussex, a sub-postmaster and registrar, living with his daughter and granddaughter.^3,6 Joseph died in the March quarter of in 1904 at Brighton, Sussex.³

     Fanny Ann URIDGE was baptized on 18 May 1828 at Chailey, Sussex.^2,3,4 She was the daughter of William URIDGE and Susannah ELLIS.^2,1 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Plumpton, Sussex, she was listed as the daughter of William URIDGE.^5,6 As of 24 February 1854, Fanny lived at Brighton, Sussex.⁷ She married Thomas KNIGHT, son of Frederick KNIGHT, on 24 February 1854 at Brighton, Sussex,, in the presence of Thomas BALDOCK & Elizabeth KNIGHT.^8,7,9 Fanny died on 4 June 1866 at Switzerland at the age of 38.¹⁰

His occupation was a retired Watchmaker aged 66 born in London. He was with his wife Lucy.⁸ He was in a photograph of his daughter Lucy's house c1902.⁹ He was in a photograph taken 1908.^10,11
