     William George URIDGE was born on 2 September 1893 at Lewisham, London.¹ He was the son of Richard URIDGE and Emma Marie WHITAKER.^2,3 In the census of 31 March 1901 at 1 Bird-in-Hand Road, Sydenham, London, he was listed as aged 7 born in Forest Hill, the son of Emma M. URIDGE; a Charwoman, living with her daughter Emily, and son William G.⁴ William George URIDGE served in World War I between 1914 and 1918.^5,6
William married Jessie M. YOUNGMAN in 1925 at Mutford, Suffolk.^7,8
William died in 1978 in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.⁹

     George Foster URIDGE was born on 3 January 1894 at Female Hospital, Woolwich, London.^1,3,2 He was the son of Frank James URIDGE and Thirza COLLINS.² In the census of 31 March 1901 at Rifle Hill, Great Motley, Essex, he was listed as aged 7, born in Woolwich, the nephew of Albert GIBBS; a Butcher, living with his wife and nephew.⁴ George Foster URIDGE served in World War I between 1914 and 1918.³
George married Dorothy Kate DEAN in 1925 at Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire.⁵

In 1912, Gladys and Elizabeth Sarah HIDE emigrated to Fresno, Fresno County, California, on the ship "SS Celtic", departing from Liverpool and arriving at Ellis Island on 2 November 1912. On the ships manifest it stated that they were mother and daugher, and going to their husband, and father H. Uridge in 1528 High Street, Fresno, California. Their nearest relative was given as Mr Hide, "Conway", Haywards Road, Haywards Heath.³

     Lilian May URIDGE was born on 9 May 1895 at Burgess Hill, Sussex.^1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Henry URIDGE and Mary Jane HOADLEY.^2,3 In the census of 31 March 1901 at 4 Crescent Place, Keymer Urban, Burgess Hill, Sussex, she was listed as aged 5 born in Burgess Hill, the daughter of Henry URIDGE; a Drapers Manager, living with his wife Mary J., and children William A., Walter E., and Lilian M.⁵ In the census of 2 April 1911 at 4 Station Road Villas, Station Road, Burgess Hill, Sussex, she was listed as "Lillian May", aged 15 born in Keymer, the daughter of Henry URIDGE.⁶ Lilian May URIDGE died a spinster on 12 November 1975 at 15 Thomon Drive, Crewkerne, Somerset, at age 80.^4,7

     Florence Ruth URIDGE was born in 1895 at Portsea, Hampshire.¹ Florence died in infancy in 1898 at Portsea, Hampshire.²

     Edgar John Gibbins URIDGE was born in 1896 at Lewes, Sussex.¹ He was the son of James Isidore URIDGE and Mary Jane MARTIN.^2,3 In the census of 31 March 1901 at "Downside", Kings Henry's Road, St. Johns, Lewes, Sussex, he was listed as the son of James Isidore URIDGE; a retired Farmer and Corndealer, living with his wife, two sons and his niece and two servants.³ Edgar John Gibbins URIDGE served in World War I between 1914 and 1917 as a Second Lieutenant "A" Bty. 147th Bde; Royal Field Artillery.^2,4
Edgar died fighting for his country, in France on 26 June 1917.^5,2,4 The 1917 Will index shows: "URIDGE Edgar John Gibbins of Downside King Henry's Lewes Died 26 June 1917 in France Administration (limited) Lewes 7 November to Mary Jane URIDGE (wife of James Isidore URIDGE) the attorney of said James Isidore URIDGE Effects £ 184 6s 6d.⁶ " Edgar was buried at II.E.122, Maroc British Cemetry, Grenay, Nord.² His estate was probated on 7 November 1917 in Lewes, Sussex.^7,6

     Elsie Maggie URIDGE was born on 21 August 1896 at Eastbourne, Sussex.^3,4,5 She was the daughter of Ebenezer URIDGE and Ellen FUNNELL.² In the census of 31 March 1901 at 3 Arundel Terrace, Eastbourne, Sussex, she was listed as the daughter of Ebenezer URIDGE; a Grocer.⁵
Elsie died in June 1988 in 34 Park Gates, Chiswick Place, Eastbourne, Sussex, at the age of 91.^4,6

     Frank URIDGE was born on 9 June 1896 in Amwell Sub District, Holborn, London.^1,4,3 He was the son of Walter URIDGE and Louisa Jane WOODS.^2,3 In the census of 31 March 1901 at 50 Southampton Road, St. Pancras, London, he was listed as aged 4 born in Clerkenwell, the son of Walter URIDGE.⁵ In the census of 2 April 1911 at 36 Achilles Road, West Hampstead, London, he was listed as a Upholsterers Apprentice, aged 14 born in Clerkenwell, the son of Walter URIDGE.⁶ Frank URIDGE served in World War I between 1914 and 1918.⁷ Frank married Daisy JAMES on 30 April 1921 at The Parish Church of St. James, Hampstead, London. The marriage was witnessed by Charlotte Caroline James, and George James. He was a Police Constable, a Bachelor aged 24, residing at 501 Lea Bridge Road Leyton. His father was listed as Walter Uridge, a Bank Watchman.^2,8,3 In 1923, at the time of the birth of their son Frank Walter, Frank and Daisy lived at 36 Kettlebaston Road, Leyton, Kent. Research Note: The core of the family continued to live in and around Sydenham, Crystal Palace and Camberwell for many years, although one branch of the family with several children moved to Australia during the mid-late 19th century - both to Queensland and Sydney.¹⁶

     Marjorie Elizabeth URIDGE was born in 1896 at Hassocks, Sussex.^1,2 She was the daughter of William Henry URIDGE and Ada Louisa PAGE.² In the census of 31 March 1901 at Aberton Farm, Edburton, Sussex, she was living with her parents, and listed as the grand-daughter of Elizabeth PAGE; a Farmer.²

     Frank Graham URIDGE was born in 1897 at Holborn, London.^1,3,4 He was the son of William Gurney URIDGE and Mary Ann GRAHAM.^2,3 In the census of 31 March 1901 at Chiswell Street, St. Lukes, London, he was listed as aged 3 born in St. Lukes, the son of William G. URIDGE.⁵ Frank Graham URIDGE joined up to serve in World War I on 13 November 1915.^6,7

URIDGE was baptized in the LDS church on 6 October 1907.^5,6 She married John DAVIDSON in 1918. They were childhood lovers.³ Caroline Emily E. URIDGE emigrated in 1920 to Lethbridge, Alberta.³ She died of cancer on 27 April 1932 at Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, at age 33.^3,4 Caroline was buried; in the farm which they owned.³

     Albert Edward URIDGE was born in 1898 at Portsmouth, Hampshire.^1,2 He was the son of William URIDGE and Kate Augusta Winifred LEWRY.² In the census of 31 March 1901 at 3 Wyncliffe Road, Portsmouth, Hampshire, he was listed as aged 2 born in Portsmouth, the son of William URIDGE.² Albert was Private 129033 , 19th Bn; Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Formerly 381168 Hampshire Regiment in 1918.^3,4 Albert was buried on 10 April 1918 at Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, West Viaanderen.³ Albert was killed in action on 10 April 1918 at Flanders.^5,3,4

     Violet May URIDGE was born on 24 May 1899 at Bucklesbury, Buckinghamshire.^1,3,4 She was the daughter of Frederick Arthur URIDGE and Minnie Blanche MEARS.² In the census of 31 March 1901 at Nine Elms Farm, Bucklebury, Berkshire, she was listed as aged 1 born in Bucklesbury, the daughter of Fredrick A. URIDGE.⁴

     Kingsley Frank G. URIDGE was born on 9 July 1900 at Lewes, Sussex.^1,2 He was the son of James Isidore URIDGE and Mary Jane MARTIN.² Kingsley died in infancy on 16 July 1900 at Lewes, Sussex.^3,2 Kingsley was buried in July 1900 at St Peter, Chailey, Sussex; and is commerated with a Monumental Cross: Suffer little children to come unto me. In loving memory of Kingsley Frank Gibbins, infant son of James Isidore and Mary Jane URIDGE who died 16 July 1900 aged 7 days.²

     Margaret Laidlaw URIDGE was born in 1901 at Brentford, Middlesex.¹ She was the daughter of Ernest Albert URIDGE and Margaret Laidlaw BLACKHALL.² Margaret died in infancy in 1902 at Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland.³
