John Henry URIDGE was born in 1868 in Chailey, Sussex.1,3 He was the son of Philip URIDGE and Charlotte SMITH.2 John Henry URIDGE was baptized on 5 April 1868 at Chailey, Sussex.4 John appeared in the census of 2 April 1871 at Sewels Farm, Chailey, Sussex.5 John appeared in the census of 3 April 1881 at Sewels Farm, Barcombe, Sussex.6,7 In the census of 5 April 1891 at Sewells Farm, Chailey, Sussex, he was listed as a Farmer's Assistant, the son of Philip URIDGE.8 John married Laura Anne WICKHAM in 1896 at Cuckfield, Sussex.9 In the census of 31 March 1901 at Suxton? Place, Northiam, Sussex, John was listed as the Head of Household; a Farmer.10 John and Laura lived at Littlehampton, Sussex, their farm was the site of a Roman Bath House, now in Littlehampton Museum.11,12

He died, aged 1, on the voyage. The ship departed London March 5,1874 and arrived in Brisbane June 9, 1874.4 Although William James URIDGE died on voyage from London. The death was registered in Queensland Registry of Death Index.4

George Harry URIDGE was born in August 1874 in Petworth, Sussex.1,3 He was the son of Henry URIDGE and Adeline LIPSCOMB.2 George Harry URIDGE was baptized on 25 October 1874 at St. John The Baptist, Lewes, Sussex.2,4 George died in infancy, aged 16 months on 11 December 1875 at Lewes, Sussex, at age 1.5,6 George was buried on 16 December 1875 at St. John, Lewes, Sussex, M; Monumental Inscription: Adeline, the beloved wife of Henry URIDGE who died December 23 1882 aged 35 years, also of their children George Harry died December 11 1875 aged 16 months. Frank died December 25 1881, aged 3 years 7 months. John Gardner died March 10th 1882 aged 12 months, also of the above named Henry URIDGE who died at Fowler, California 28.4.1911 aged 60 years.3,6
