- [S625] E-mail from Derek Miller to Teresa Pask dated 18 Apr 2005: Derek wrote "The Nicholas Dadswell who was one of the tenants in 1808 at Lime Kiln House was married to Sarah. They had a child at Otford in Kent in 1801 then from 1803 to 1817 they had children born in Buxted parish. At the baptism of the last child in 1817 they were said to be from High Hurstwood and Nicholas to be a wheelwright. The wheelwright shop was just south of the Old Maypole Farm a few hundred yards from Lime Kiln House so Nicholas probably worked there. Now we know Nicholas was definately in High Hurstwood from 1808. In the 1841 to 1861 census Nicholas and family were living at Old Hall (not to be confused with Old Hall Cottage or Old Hall Farm) that had been bequeathed to Henry Uridge, so had Nicholas purchased this from Henry or had Henry sold it when he moved to Fletching?
