John URIDGE was born in 1816 in Sydenham, Kent.1,3,4,5 He was the son of John URIDGE and Mary HARCOURT.2 John married Sarah DROVER in 1836.6,1,7 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 34 Wells Road, Sydenham, Kent, John was listed as the Head of Household; a Bricklayer's Labourer, living with his wife Sarah, and children Ann, William, Richard, Thomas, Ellen, and Jane Anne.1 He was listed as the Head of Household in the census of 7 April 1861 at Prospect Place (Off Wells Road), Sydenham, Kent. Also living in the house was John AUSTIN, Amy RUSSELL and George ASHWORTH.4 In 1862, at the time of his son's marriage, John was Bricklayer.8,9 In the census of 2 April 1871 at 8 Rosmon Street, Lewisham, London, John was listed as the Head of Household; a Slater, living with his wife and two daughters. Additionally George COLLINS, Ellen COLLINGS, Ester COLLINGS and Sarah WARWICK were visitors in the house.10,11 John died in 1879 at Lewisham, London.5,12,3

Sarah URIDGE was born in 1811 in Hine Abbas, Huntingdonshire.2,3,4 Sarah married John URIDGE, son of John URIDGE and Mary HARCOURT, in 1836.4,5,6 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 34 Wells Road, Sydenham, Kent, she was listed as a Charwoman, the wife of John URIDGE; a Bricklayer's Labourer, living with his wife Sarah, and children Ann, William, Richard, Thomas, Ellen, and Jane Anne.5 In the census of 7 April 1861 at Prospect Place (Off Wells Road), Sydenham, Kent, she was listed as the wife of John URIDGE.7 In the census of 2 April 1871 at 8 Rosmon Street, Lewisham, London, she was listed as the wife of John URIDGE; a Slater, living with his wife and two daughters. Additionally George COLLINS, Ellen COLLINGS, Ester COLLINGS and Sarah WARWICK were visitors in the house.8,9 In the census of 3 April 1881 at 2 Rosamund Street, Lewisham, Kent, she was listed as the mother-in-law of James HIBBERT.
