In the census of 6 June 1841 at St. James' Church, Isle of Grain, Kent, she was listed as aged 6, assumed to be the daughter of Phillip URIDGE.8 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Home Farm Wall End, St. James, Isle of Grain, Kent, she was listed as a House Servant aged 16 born in St. James Grain, a servant of William KNELL a Baliff.1
Sarah emigrated with her parents and siblings on 26 May 1851 to New York City, New York State, USA. She was listed incorrectly as Sarah WRIDGE aged 16 from Ireland.9
Sarah married James TAYLOR on 25 December 1852 in Wayne County, Michigan, USA. They had 13 children.4,2
Her husband, James, died circa 1881.2

In the census of 15 April 1910 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, USA, she was listed as aged 71, the wife of Phillip URIDGE (living with his wife Ann. They had been married 53 years with 2 children.)4
Ann died between 1910 and 1920.5
Her husband, Philip, died on 29 August 1928 in Wauchula, Hardee County, Florida, USA, at the age of 91.6

In the census of 1 June 1870 at Delaware, Sanilac County, Michigan, USA, he was listed as aged 2 born in Michigan, the son of William URIDGE.1,3 In the census of 1 June 1880 at Delaware, Sanilac County, Michigan, USA, he was listed as aged 13 born in Michigan, the son of William URIDGE.4 In the census of 1 June 1900 at Delaware, Sanilac County, Michigan, USA, he was listed as aged 31 born in Michigan, the son of Mary URIDGE.5
In the census of 15 April 1910 at Delaware, Sanilac County, Michigan, USA, George was listed as single, aged 42 born in Michigan, the Head of Household; a Farmer living with his step-mother Mary, and brother Wills, and sisters Ethel, and Elizabeth Schwergest.6
He was mentioned in his sister Elizabeth's death notification that was recorded on April 1911.7
