Caroline WOND was born in 1822 in Bermondsey, London. Her father's name was Robert DAVIES.2,3 Caroline married John WOND on 11 May 1840.3 In the census of 7 April 1861 at 6 Woolf Street, Bermondsey, London, she was listed as aged 39 born in Bermondsey, the wife of John WOND; a Waterman and Lighterman, living with his wife Caroline and children John, William, Caroline, Robert, and Albert.2 Caroline married John HOWITT on 17 August 1869. The marriage was witnessed by William EDWARDS and Emma EDWARDS.3 Caroline HOWITT witnessed the marriage of Thomas URIDGE and Harriet CLARK on 29 March 1874 at The Parish Church of St James the Great, Bethnal Green, London.4,5,6 Caroline died on 7 September 1888; The informant was A. WOND, daughter-in-law of deceased. This was almost certainly Augusta Marney WOND née HOWITT, wife of Caroline's son Robert Charles WOND.3
