He was a bricklayer and stoneman by trade.¹ He and Jessie Mary DENGATE emigrated in June 1909 to Herbert, Saskatchewan, Canada; After everyone left home they went to Brantford, Ontario then off to Melville, Saskatchewan.³ William died on 9 March 1954 at Mellville, Saskatchewan, at the age of 82.^1,4
